About me
Doug Henderson is the Director-STEAM/CTE for Val Verde Unified School District in Perris, CA. For the last 7 years, Doug has more than doubled the number of career pathways in the districts while focusing on providing students with the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications while operating industry-approved equipment. Critical thinking and collaboration have been identified by local industries as the key skills needed in the workforce and these are foundational to ensuring students are using facilities and equipment that focus on problem-solving. He works closely with the city economic development teams to stay connected with local industries to ensure that all VVUSD CTE pathways are preparing Val Verde students to compete for jobs in the local workforce.
