CAL-MSCS Computer Science Models of Practice Summit
Friday June 20, 2025 10:05am - 11:20am PDT
Join the Media Center for Art, Education, and Technology (MCAET) for an inspiring session fueled by immersive learning. At the Monterey County Office of Education we believe the visual arts are a powerful gateway to deeper student engagement. In this dynamic, hands-on session, participants will explore the intersection of engineering, storytelling, and computer science. Using LEGO components, basic coding principles, and creative direction, students will design and program moving camera dollies to film their own short scenes. This activity fuses literacy, design thinking, and the visual arts—showing students how the technical and creative worlds come together to bring ideas to life on screen.
